The brisk lake walk yesterday really helped move things along physically and mentally. Since I reduced fat to 30g or less per day, moved some meal times around, and kept the protein to 100g or above each day, I have seen better results. I am on track to make my goal of losing six pounds per month!

Although I dread the approaching cold weather and darkness, Autumn here can be glorious! This is a photo of two Maple trees in our front yard from last year - they are identical this year!

- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - who is my greatest "cheerleader"

- My connection to the Mother Earth and its entire splendor
- My physical health

I love the autumn colors. Our leaves are really starting to fall this week. They won't last much longer, I'm afraid. It's been a very cool and wet October here so far. Good to see you are still getting results - keep up the good work!

HCB, you have a sweet ass yard. I bet you are the envy of everyone else at Lowe's and Home Depot. I really need to take your advice about keeping the fat down and upping the protein. Normally I do pretty well on carbs but I do admit I let those fat grams get out of control. Today I did weight training a little bit at the gym, in addition to cardio and abs - just a few reps with hand weights, but it was more than I have been doing. Feeling a little crazy today, as you can probably tell from my lengthy, super pissed off journal. I never see you get your feathers ruffled! Jealous!
