Hubby got a good report at his Doctor's appt. today...all his labs were good. I told him "you're welcome" 😉 After all, I'm preparing all his healthy meals. I am happy. He's in pretty good shape at 78 years old.

He had errands to run this afternoon so he asked if I wanted to join him. I needed to get some groceries, anyway. Before we went to the grocery store we decided to try a new resteraunt that just opened...Miller's Ale House. I was looking at the salads but Hubby asked if I was "bad" last week....there were so many other options to try. Since I had not gained weight while I was away I said I guess not. I decided to have a grilled chicken BLT, but replaced the fries with a side salad. It was helpful the menu had calorie counts so I could choose a better option. The meal ended up being a late lunch/ early dinner so I didn't eat after we got home.

I think one of the reasons I was able to maintain last week is I really can't overeat without feeling stuffed. Some of the meals I had I just stopped eating when I was full. Also, when I'm serving myself I choose a smaller portion. I could probably eat intuitively at this point but I like knowing how many calories I'm consuming. I didn't log everything before I ate while I was away...or even immediately after like I do at home. I tried to get caught up last night. I may have missed a few things but I do have an overall idea. It helps I usually snap a photo, so I can look at it. I journaled about one resteraunt meal that helped remind me, too. Of course most of those meals are guesstimates.
